Vintage Tequila Sunrise

What makes it special: The tequila sunrise vintage effect

How long it lasts: This depends on the quality of the nail polish you use. Three days for me.

To cook this look you need:
  • Three kitties
  • Base coat (optional - white colour will allow the nail polish to pop out)
  • Top coat
  • Small sponge
  • Yellow nail polish
  • Orange nail polish
  • Red nail polish
  • Blue or green nail polish
  • (optional) Tape, cream or something to wrap your fingers and protect the skin around the nails from getting messy

 Steps:
  • Apply the base coat. Wait to dry.
  • Apply one line of each nail polish colour on the sponge
  • Start tapping on your nail. Three of four times will be enough to mix the colours and get the gradient effect.
  • Repeat this with the rest of your nails.
  • The sponge might have left you with grainy effect. While the nail polish is still wet, apply top coat to smooth it. Wait to dry.

Marble Glitter

What makes it special: The discrete marble

How long it lasts: If your base is good, you can easily live for a whole week with this design.

Bonus: One of the pictures is not taken with my cats but with a baby yorkie. Can you guess which one?

To cook this look you need:
  • Three kitties
  • Base coat
  • Gray nail polish
  • Dark red nail polish
  • Glitter nail polish
  •  Cup of water (room temperature)
  • Toothpick
  • (Optional) Hand cream, glue or tape to wrap your fingers and protect your skin from the nail polish

Steps:
  • Apply the base coat
  • Apply one layer of the gray nail polish. Wait to dry.
  • Full the cup with water
  • Put drops of the nail polishes in the water - red and glitter
  • Before the nail polish starts drying, quickly draw lines with the toothpick
  • (Optional) Wrap your hands in tape, cover the skin in hand cream or do whatever you do to prevent the mess that will follow
  • Dip your nails in the cup (one by one or the whole hand)
  • Use the toothpick to collect the rest of the nail polish floating in the water
  • Take your fingers out of the water
  • Clean the nail polish from the skin
  • Repeat with the other hand
  • Apply top coat while it is still wet because it will smoothen the bumps (if you have any)
  • Wait to dry
