Silver Winter Navy (Story 1 of 2)

What makes it special: The piramidal effect of the silver nail polish
 
How long it lasts: You can make his design live for a week. First you can polish your nails in silver and keep them this way for a couple of days. Then as soon as you notice the first white edges you can refresh it with the dark blue topping.

To cook this look you need:

• Three kitties
• Silver nail polish
• Dark blue nail polish (I used one with delicate glitter)
• Top coat
• French nail tip guides 
• Tweezers (Optional)

 

Steps:

1. Apply the base coat
2. Apply to silver nail polish
3. Wait to dry really well
4. Apply the French tips close to the cuticle on each finger
5. Apply the dark blue nail polish (depending on how thick it is you can apply two or three layers)
6. Remove the french tips as soon as possible before the nail polish starts drying
7. Apply top coat

Teal Story: Lace (Story 2 of 2)

What makes it special: The teal colour itself is special. The stickers add some funny royalty.
 
How long it lasts: I had it for a day. It started as Lazy Ombre whick I had to fix in the evening. The problem was that I fell asleep before the nail polish was completely dry and in the morning I saw that evrything is ruined.

Teal Story: Lazy Ombre (Story 1 of 2)

To cook this look you need:

• Three kitties
• The products from Teal Story: Lazy Ombre (Story 1 of 2)
• Top coat
• Stickes designed as lace
• Scissors to cut the lace stickers 
• Toothpick (Optional)

Steps:

1. Follow the steps from Teal Story: Lazy Ombre (Story 1 of 2) 
2. Wait to dry well. Very well. 
3. Cut small pieces of the lace sticker and apply it close to the base of your nail. 
4. Use the toothpick to press 
5. Use the scissors to cut the sticker it is longer
6. Repeat for each finger
7. Apply to coat

 

Teal Story: Lazy Ombre (Story 1 of 2)

What makes it special: The teal colour itself is special.
 
How long it lasts: I had it for a day. In the evening I was removing a price tag with my nails and the thumb nail polish was ruined in seconds.

Teal Story: Lace (Story 2 of 2)

To cook this look you need:

• Three kitties
• Base coat
• Three shades of teal nail polish

 

Steps:

1. Apply the base coat
2. Apply one shade of teal on your nails creating the ombre gradient

Side note: I used the Bourjois nail polishes and realised that they are nice and thick for decorations but too thick to dry as quickly as promised.

Typocat

Cats are copycats, this design was invented to honour the typocats who enjoy reading the news.

What makes it special: The artistic expression brought to you by the newspaper. All bookworms love it.
 
How long it lasts: I had it for three days but it could have stayed longer. You can split this design into two steps and wear the newspaper design for a few days, then make floral decorations and keep it for a few days more. I did it all at once.

Step 1, Newspaper

To cook this look you need:

• Three kitties
• Base coat
• White nail polish
• Top coat
• Alcohol (rubbing alcohol, strong, at least 70)
• Newspaper
• (Optional) Cotton and tweezers

 

Steps:

1. Apply the base coat
2. Apply a few layers of white (I had to ally three)
3. Wait to dry. 
4. Cut small pieces of the newspaper and place them one by one on the nails
5. Rub each piece with the alcohol. 
6. Don't rub for longer than 10 seconds or your nail polish will be spoiled.
7. Use cotton to rub them better. Use the tweezers to remove the newspaper. (optional, you can use fingers too)
8. Apply top coat. Wait to dry.

Step 2, Flowers

To cook this look you need:

• Three kitties
• Everything from Step 1, Newspaper
• Dotting tool
• Toothpick
• Two shades of green nail polish
• Yellow nail polish
• Other colours of nail polishes - blue, red, purple, orange... it is up to you

 

 Steps:

1. Dip the dotting tool in the red nail polish and create five red dots for each flower on each finger. Wait to dry.
2. Repeat this with the rest or the colours.
3. Dip the dotting tool in the yellow nail polish and place a dot in the center of each flower. Wait to dry.
4. Take the toothpick and dip it in the lime green nail polish to create the basic leafs. 
5. The other side of the toothpick-stick dip in dark green and create the accents in the center of each leaf.
6. Wait to dry.
7. Apply top coat.

Candy Bear

What makes it special: The PINK.

How long it lasts: Due to the highly childish design I stayed with it just for the weekend.

To cook this look you need:

• Three kitties
• Base coat
• Fuchsia nail polish
• Pink nail polish
• Fimo figures (bears)
• Tape (1 mm)
• Top coat

Steps: 

1. Apply base coat
2. Apply fuchsia nail polish. Wait to dry.
3. Cut tape and place it on your nails crossing the tape and forming figures. Remember which after which comes
4. Apply pink nail polish.
5. As soon as you apply it on your last finger start removing the tape. Start from the upper layer. You can use tweezers.
6. Wait to dry.
7. Apply top coat on the first finger you want decorated with fimo figures.
8. While still wet, place the figure on your nail. Gently press it to stick there 
9. Repeat with the rest of your nails. 
10. Finish with one last layer of top coat.

Stardust

I bought this stardust nail polish and I couldn't take off my eyes of it.

What makes it special: The glitter stardust in green-blue-black

How long it lasts: Less than a day. Rimmel is pretty design but its quality is low. When you wear dark nail polish every white edge is visible and you can't help it. I could fix it but at the end of the day I simply decided to go for another design.

To cook this look you need:

• Three kitties
• Base coat
• Glitter nail polish
• Dark blue nail polish

Steps:

1. Apply the base coat. 
2. Apply the dark blue nail polish on the ring fingers
3. Apply the glitter nail to the rest of your fingers

Purple Ice Cream (Story 3 of 3)

So how this ice cream looks like and has anybody seen it?  Yes. It is finally here.

What makes it special: The yellow colour will do great part of the job, so choose wisely. The ice cream effect is great. This approach is suitable for designs you like and like to keep for a few days more.

How long it lasts: I stayed with the design of this step for a day. My problem was that I ruined some of the French almost as soon as I was ready. Be careful with the fresh nail polish, give it some time to dry or use dryer.

To cook this look you need:

• 3 kitties
• The products from Purple (Story 1 of 3)
• The matte top coat from Purple Ice (Story 2 of 3)
• Yellow nail polish (better a thick one)
• Scissors
• Tape
• (Optional) Tweezers
• (Optional) Polish dryer (nail polish or spray)

Steps:

1. Follow the steps from Purple Ice Cream: Purple (Story 1 of 3)
2. Follow the steps from Purple Ice Cream: Purple Ice (Story 2 of 3) 
3. Cut tapes
4. Place them it on your nails. You don't have to press it too tight, it is ok for the ice cream to spot here and there
5. Apply yellow nail polish. Apply it generously.
6. Remove the tape as soon as you apply the nail polish. You can use tweezers.
7. Wait to dry. Seriously. Wait. To. Dry.
8. To speed up a little the drying process you can use dryer and wait to dry. 

Why so much fuss about the drying? At this point the yellow is already the fifth layer of nail polish on your nails. All this chemistry on the top of your fingers "melts" under the acetone (or whatever other ingredients). They soak in the lower layers and make it harder to dry. 

This is especially valid if you use cheap brands (like me).
